Deposit INITIAL WORK DONE AT THIS LOCATION WAS PROBABLY DONE AT THE OUTCROPS OF HEMATITE - RICH VEIN WHICH APPEARS SPORADICALLY ALONG A N 45 DEGREES W TO N. 52 DEGREE W. BEARING. THREE SMALL TRENCHES WERE DUG IN THIS VEIN ON BOTH EAST AND WEST SIDES OF THE HILL CREST ON NORTH SIDE OF MOUNTAIN SPRINGS CYN. TRENCHES RANGE IN ELEVATION FROM APPROX 4780' TO 4828' A TOTAL OF ABOUT 350 CUBIC FEET OF MATERIAL WAS REMOVED. IT APPEARS THAT THE DRIFT WAS DRIVEN LATER TO INTERSECT DOWNWARD EXTENT OF THE VEIN. VEIN PINCHED A VERY SHORT DISTANCE BELOW SURFACE--IT WAS NOT INTERSECTED. AT THE ENTER DRIFT CONSISTS OF ALTERED FG QTZ-K-FELDSPAR-PLAGIDCLASE-BIOTITE APLITE W/CREAMY-WHITE CLAY SEAMS. IT WAS DRIVEN 8' VERTICALLY BELOW THE OUTCROP ; INFO.SRC : 3 FIELD OBSERV
