  • FIRST WORKED AS A GOLD MINE IN THE LATE 1800'S. TUNGSTEN WAS DISCOVERED ABOUT 1930, AFTER WHICH IT WAS OPERATED FOR A SHORT TIME BY THE NEVADA-MASSACHUSETTS CO., AND LATER IN 1942-43 BY THE GILDED AGE MINING CO.
