  • IRREGULAR ORE BODY IN THRUST (?) BRECCIA ZONE BETWEEN ISOLATED BLOCKS OF THE LIMESTONE AND QUARTZITE. ORE CONSISTS OF GRAINS AND NODULES OF CERUSSITE, POWDERY OPAL, PLUMBOJAROSITE & LUMPS OF FE & MN OXIDES IN FINE GRAINED QUARTZ INTENSE FRACTURING HAS OCCURRED THROUGHOUT THE AREA DUE TO MOVEMENT ALONG THE MAJOR FAULT. ROCKS ARE BRECCIATED AND IRON-STAINED. QUARTZITE AND SILTY SANDSTONE AT PORTAL ARE VEINED BY FE AND WHITE TO GREY CALCITE. GOSSANY BRECCIA CEMENTED WITH CALCITE ON DUMP CONTAINS LENSES AND VEINS OF BLADED SILVERY PYROLUSITE (?) AND WHITE BARITE CRYSTALS. THE GOSSAN IS SLIGHTLY YUGGY AND HEAVY. IRON-STAINED JASPER IS COMMON ALONG THE FAULT ZONE AND IN THE GOSSAN. QUARTZITE WALLROCK CONTAINS SOME OXIDIZED PYRITE AND SERICITE. FAULT ZONE AT LOWER PORTAL IS STRONGLY FE-MN-STAINED WITH ATTITUDE OF ABOUT N80E, 15SE. UPSLOPE FROM THIS ADIT ARE SHAFTS AND SHORT ADITS WHICH EXPLORE THE SAME IRON-STAINED BRECCIATED THRUST ZONE.
