Economic information about the deposit and operations

Development status Past Producer
Commodity type Metallic
Deposit size Small
Significant No
Production years 1953

Mining district

District name Santa Fe

Ownership information

  • Type Owner
    Owner F. W. Reinmiller And S.Schatt

Comments on the production information

  • PREVIOUS EXPLORATION WORK OR PRODUCTION UNRECORDED. DMEA SAMPLES DERIVED FROM EXTENDED WORKINGS SHOWED .2 PERCENT WO3 (CONF.)

Comments on the reserve resource information

  • EXPLORATORY WORK DID NOT TEST ENOUGH OF THE MINERALIZED CONTACT TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT THESE RESERVES ACTUALLY EXIST. CONCLUSION WAS THAT PRODUCTION FROM THE EXISTING SHOWINGS ON THE ADIT LEVEL IS NOT ECONOMICALLY FEASIBLE. THE WORK DONE SHOWED THAT TARGET IS OF LIMITED SIZE BUT THE RESERVES ARE UNCHANGED AND ADDITIONAL EXPLORATION IS WARRANTED ( 1955 ) (CONF.)

Comments on the workings information

  • INITIAL UNDATED WORK DROVE TWO SHALLOW INCLINED SHAFTS, ONE 70' DEEP AT 32 DEGREE SLOPE, THE OTHER 60' DEEP AT 21 DEGREE SLOPE. A 170' ADIT 85 FT. IN ELEV. WAS ALSO DRIVEN. DMEA WORK IN 1955 , CONSISTED OF 187 FT EXTENSION OF ADIT TO THE RELATIVELY FLAT CONTACT, THENCE WEST UNDER THE SHAFTS FOR AN ADDITIONAL 111 FT. ALSO NUMEROUS PROSPECTS.

Comments on development

  • UNKNOWN ; ECON.COM: A HEAD SAMPLE OF 374 TONS OF ORE WAS TREATED AT THE SODAVILLE MILL AVERAGED 0.45% W03.
