  • PREVIOUS OPERATORS INCLUDE BLACK PRINCE COPPER CO, ARIZONA CONSOL IDATED MINING CO, ARIZONA UNITED MINING CO, COBRIZA MINES DEVELOPMENT CO, MASON COPPER CO, UNITED DEVELOPMENT CO, CORONADO, COPPER AND ZINC CO. THE REPUBLIC AND MAMMOTH HAVE HAD COMMON OWNERSHIP AT LEAST SINCE 1900, BY WHICH TIME THEY WERE DEVELOPED BY SURFACE CUTS AND SHALLOW IN CLINED SHAFTS DOWN THE DIP OF OUTCROPPING ORE BODIES. IN 1903 THE BLAC K PRINCE COPPER CO EXTENDED THE MAMMOTH SHAFT TO 270 FT
