  • THE GRADE OF ORE IS EXTREMELY LOW, ACCORDING TO KISHIMOTO ( 1962 )

  • NO MINE HAS EXISTED AT THE LOCATION OF DISCOVERY OF THE CINNABAR-CONTAINING BOULDERS. 200 M SOUTH OF THIS SITE, HOWEVER IS AN OLD SHAFT ACTIVE DURING MIDDLE MEIJI PERIOD ( APPROX. 1880 - 1900 ). CINNABAR WAS NOT FOUND THERE, THOUGH SMALL CLAY VEINS WERE.

Deposit THE DISSEMINATED CINNABAR HAS BEEN FOUND EXCLUSIVELY IN BOULDERS IN THE AREA, AND AN ORE VEIN HAS NOT BEEN LOCATED. AS MENTIONED, THE LIMESTONE IN THE AREA IS VERY FRESH WITH ONLY A MINOR OCCURRANCE OF SIDERITE VEINLETS. AREA OF OCCURENCE APPROXIMATELY EQUAL TO 100 M**2
