General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit THE PRIMARY DEPOSIT HAS NOT YET BEEN LOCATED, BUT IS THOUGHT TO BE A CINNABAR-BARITE VEIN IN SLATE AND CONGLOMERATE COUNTRY ROCKS. FROM APRIL TO AUGUST, 1943 , GOLD WAS BEING MINED HERE, BUT ACCOMPANYING CINNABAR WAS THROWN AWAY UNTIL A GEOLOGICAL EXPEDITION POINTED OUT ITS VALUE. NO MINING RIGHTS HAVE BEEN OBTAINED FOR THE SITE.
