Deposit A VEIN 10 TO 14 INCHES WIDE STRIKING N40W AND DIPPING 30 DEGREES SW CONTAINS CINNABAR, STIBNITE AND LIMESTONE FRAGMENTS. THE VEIN IS CONTINUOUS FOR 40 FT. THE VEIN IS LOCALIZED ALONG THE CONTACT OF SANDSTONE AND OVERLYING DOLOMITE, AND CINNABAR FILLS FRACTURES.
Deposit DISCOVERED IN 1924. DEVELOPED IN 1929 BY NEVADA QUICKSILVER CO. WORKED BY VARIOUS LESSEES FROM 1933. IN 1960 THE MINE WAS BEING DRILLED BY UTEX EXPLORATION CO. A VEIN 10 TO 14 INCHES WIDE STRIKING N40W AND DIPPING 30 DEGREES SW CONTAINS CINNABAR, STIBNITE AND BIECCIATED FRAGMENTS OF LIMESTONE. VEIN IS CONTINUOUS FOR 40 FEET. THE HILL THAT CONTAINS THE MME IS DOMINANTLY A BROAD ASYMMETRICAL ANTICLINE WHOSE AXIS TRENDS ABOUT N60 DEGREES W. WITHIN THE ANTICLINE ARE SEVERAL BROKEN ZONES AND FAULTS OF SMALL DISPLACEMENT. THE ORE IS LOCALIZED ALONG THE UPPER CONTACT OF THE SANDSTONE AND IN THE OVERLYING DOLOMITE. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
