Deposit ROCKS IN AREA INCLUDE NORTH TRENDING BEDS OF SANDSTONE, SHALE, AND CONGLOMERATIC DOLOMITE. THE MINE OCCURS IN THE SAME FORMATION AS THE MONTGOMERY MINE.
Deposit EASTERN STAR MINE IS ON PERSHING RIDGELONG WITH PERSHING, MONTGOMERY AND LORI MINES. THE RELATIVELY HIGH PERMEABILITY AND THE INTENSE FRACTURING OF THE CONGLOMERATE ARE PROBABLE FACTORS INFLUENCING THE MERCURY MINERALIZATION, DISCOVERED IN 1912. PRINCIPAL PERIODS OF ACTIVITY 1928-30 AND 1941-43. OCCURS IN THE SAME GEOLOGIC FORMATIONS AS THE ADJOINING LORI MONTGOMERY MINES. ROCKS IN AREA INCLUDE NORTHERLY TRENDING BEDS OF SANDSTONE, SHALE AND CONGLOMERATIC DOLOMITE. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
