General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit ROCKS ARE CUT BY NUMEROUS QUARTZ VEINS AND VEINLETS. CINNABAR CRYSTALS UP TO 0.5 CM OCCUR IN THE VEINS AND FRACTUR-ES. A LARGE QUARTZ VEIN, ABOUT 0.5 M WIDE, HAS DIFFUSE BOUNDAR-IES AND ABUNDANT CINNABAR CRYSTALS DISSEMINATED THROUGHOUT THE- VEIN. THE 30-FT ADIT EXPLORES SILICIFIED LIMESTONE CUT BY NUM-EROUS QUARTZ VEINLETS. NO VISIBLE CINNABAR WAS NOTED IN THE AD-IT.
Deposit 250-FT-LONG ADIT DRIVEN ACROSS STRIKE OF STEEPLY-DIPPING THIN-BEDDED CHERT. OWNED BY RALPH HOLT IN 1944. 4 CLAIMS DEVELOPED ALSO BY 2 SHAFTS AND 6 TRENCHES. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT
