| Deposit | THE DEPOSIT IS DEVELOPED BY TWO SHORT CONNECTED ADITS. THE MAIN WORKINGS EXPLORE A CONTACT BETWEEN SANDSTONE & QUARTZITE. AT THE CONTACT IS A 6 TO 18 IN. GOUGE CONTAINING QUARTZ PODS & CRYSTALS OF STIBNITE & CERVANTITE. EAST OF THE CONTACT IN THE SANDSTONE IS A 2 TO 4 IN. VEIN OF QUARTZ, STIBNITE, CERVANTITE, & OTHER SB OXIDES STRIKING NE AND DIPPING 35 DEGREES SE. ANTIMONY MINERALIZATION WAS CONTROLLED BY THE FRACTURES THAT PROVIDED OPEN SPACE FOR STIBNITE DEPOSITION IN SANDSTONE OVERLAIN BY UNFRACTURED QUARTZITE AND UNDERLAIN BY SOFT SHALE. THE ANTIMONY STAR MINE LIES ON THE SAME MINERALIZED STRUCTURE AS THE CERVANTITE MINE. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT; 3 FIELD OBSERV |
