Deposit WORKINGS INCLUDE A NUMBER OF ADITS AND SHAFTS. MOST OF T SCHEELITE MINED CAME FROM THE LOWER ADITS AND DOES NOT OCCUR WITH STIBNITE. STIBNITE AND SMALL AMOUNTS OF TETRAHEDRITE OCCUR IN THE UPPER ADIT. DIABASE DIKES INTRUDE THE LIMESTONE IN THE AREA. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT; 3 FIELD OBSERV
Deposit THE LOWER ADIT CONTAINS SCHEELITE; THE UPPER STIBNITE AND TETRABEDRITE. SCHEELITE IS IN LARGE MASSES, 1 TO 3 INCH QUARTZ VEINS AND MINOR SCHEELITE IS DISSEMINATED IN THE LIMESTONE. STIBNITE AND SMALL AMOUNTS TETRAHEDRITE OCCUR IN QUARTZ VEINS IN OR NEAR DIABASE DIKES. DIKES HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY ALTERED TO CARBONATES, CHLORITE, AND CLAY..TUNGSTEN MINERALIZATION OCCURS IN QUARTZ-FILD FAULT BRECCIA ZONE AS PIPE-LIKE SHOOTS. IN A STRIKE DISTANCE OF A-BOUT 150 FT, 3 SMALL ORE SHOOTS WERE MINED FROM 2 RAISES AND A- WINZE. THESE ORE SHOOTS WERE 20-40 FT LONG, 4-10 FT WIDE, AND- 1-4 FT THICK. SOME AG, AU AND CU OCCUR WITH THE ANTIMONY MINE-RALS IN THE UPPER WORKINGS, BUT SCHEELITE WAS FOUND ONLY IN TH-E LOWER WORKINGS. ONE QUARTZ VEIN IN UPPER ADITS TRENDS N60-70-W, DIPS N, UP TO 5 M THICK, INTERSECTED BY A SECOND VEIN OF AB-OUT THE SAME WIDTH, STRIKING N15-20E, DIP STEEPLY WEST; BOTH V-EINS BRECCIATED AND RECEMENTED. MOST VEIN QUARTZ APPEARS BARRE-N.; MODEL NAME COULD ALSO BE: POLYMETALLIC
