| Deposit | A QUARTZ-ANTIMONY VEIN THAT RANGES FROM 4 TO 12 INCHES WIDE CUTS THE LIMESTONE WITH SEVERAL BARREN FAULTS CLOSELY PARALLELING THE VEIN. THE VEIN IS OFFSET BY A SUBHORIZONTAL BEDDING-PLANE FAULT, GIVING THE APPEARANCE OF TWO VEINS. STIBNITE OCCURS AS SMALL PODS AND SINGLE CRYSTALS IN QUARTZ. SPHALERITE AND PYRITE ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE ANTIMONY MINERALS BUT ARE MORE COMMON IN THE LIMESTONE ADJACENT TO THE VEIN. GREEN TO BLUE MELANTERITE COATS SOME OF THE VEIN MATERIAL. THE VEIN FILLS PREMINERAL FAULT FISSURE IN RHYOLITE AND LOWER MEMBER PRIDA FORMATION. ORE VALUES DECREASED WITH DEPTH. ORE HIGH IN SILVER FOUND NEAR THE SURFACE.; MODEL NAME COULD ALSO BE: POLYMETALLIC VEINS. |
