| Deposit | DRILLING INDICATES THAT MASSIVE ORE OCCURS TO DEPTH OF 500 FT AND EXTENDS 1800 FT E-W AND 600 FT N-S OF PIT. ORE IS MAGNETITE WITH MINOR HEMATITE IN VEINS AND IRREGULAR MASSES; THE ORE BODIES FORMED AS REPLACEMENT BODIES IN GABBRO. ORE LOCALIZED BY MAJOR NE STRIKING, NW-DIPPING FAULT. MINOR NORTH TO NW-STRIKING FAULTS OFFSET MAIN FAULT AND FORMED BRECCIATED ZONES WHERE IRREGULAR MASSES OF MAGNETITE ARE LOCALIZED. DISSEMINATED MAGNETITE OCCURS IN BEDROCK GABBRO. IRON ORE RANGES FROM PURE MAGNETITE (72.4%) TO A MIXTURE OF MAGNETIZED AND CHLORITIZED HOST ROCK WITH 50-60% FE CONTENT. |
