Deposit MOST PLACER ACTIVITY IN WILLOW CREEK TOOK PLACE BETWEEN 1938 AND 1964. SMALL EARTH-MOVING EQUIPMENT WAS USED TO DELIVER THE GRAVELS TO A CENTRAL WASHING PLANT. IN 1949 & 1950 GRAVELS CONTAINING $1.85 AND $0.24 IN GOLD PER CUBIC YARD WAS MINED AT THE WADLEY MINE. DRAGLINE OPERATIONS WERE CARRIED ON IN 1959-60 IN THE N-S TRENDING PART OF CREEK BETWEEN THE THACKER AND WADLEY PLACER MINES.
