Comments on the geologic information

  • DEPOSITS OCCUR AS VEINS AND REPLACEMENT DEPOSITS ALONG FRACTURES & BEDDING PLANES IN LIMESTONE. DEPOSITS ARE MOSTLY OXIDIZED AND GENERALLY OCCUR AS IRREGULAR MASSES OF POROUS IRON-STAINED MATERIAL. THE ORES WERE DEPOSITED BY HOT SOLUTIONS FROM THE GRANODIORITE MAGMA, PROBABLY AT ABOUT 1,000 FEET BELOW THE SURFACE. THEY HAVE BEEN ENRICHED THROUGH LEADING AND CONCENTRATION BY DESCENDING SURFACE WATERS (SCHRADER, P. 117)
