Comments on the workings information

  • WORKINGS CONSIST OF SEVERAL SHAFTS AND AT LEAST ONE ADIT IN METAVOLCANIC ROCKS AND ORE SHAFT IN TERTIARY ANDESITE. IN THE WESTERN PART OF THE AREA, A VERTICAL SHAFT EXTENDS TO A DEPTH OF SEVERAL HUNDRED FEET, AND AN INCLINED SHAFT FOLLOWS AN IRON STAINED SILICIFIED ZONE IN THE METAVOLCANIC ROCKS. THE DUMPS ARE COMPOSED OF SOMEWHAT PHYLLITIC METAVOLCANIC ROCKS THAT ORIGINALLY WERE PROBABLY INTERMEDIATE TO SILICEOUS PYROCLASTIC ROCKS.
