  • MINE IS DEVELOPED BY A SHAFT INCLINED ABOUT 70 DEGREES TO THE NORTHWEST ON A TACTITE ZONE BETWEEN MARBLE AND GRANODIORITE. SHALLOWER SHAFTS LIE TO THE NORTH AND SOUTH OF THE MAIN SHAFT. COARSELY CRYSTALLINE MARBLE IS EXPOSED ALONG THE ROAD NORTH OF THE SHAFTS. THE DUMP IS COMPOSED OF TACTITE, MARBLE, BIOTITE, GRANODIORITE, AND SOME APPARENTLY BARREN QUARTZ. CUTS; SOME STOPING

Deposit SHEAR ZONE CUTS GARNET SKARN. EAST (FOOTWALL) SIDE OF ZONE IS WHITE CRYSTALLINE MARBLE; THE WEST (HANGING WALL) SI-DE OF THE ZONE IS TACTITE. PODS OF MASSIVE WHITE QUARTZ OCCUR -ALONG THE SHEAR ZONE; QUARTZ CONTAINS CLOTS OF RED-BROWN AND C-INNAMON BROWN GOSSAN. SOME QUARTZ ON THE DUMP CONTAINS DISSEMI-NATED PYRITE. THERE ARE PIECES OF GRANODIORITE ON THE DUMP- TH-ERE MAY BE A CONTACT CUT BY UNDERGROUND WORKINGS.; MODEL NAME COULD ALSO BE: CU SKARN.
