Comments on the workings information

  • THESE WORKINGS ARE IN INTRICATELY FOLDED MARBLE AND CONSIST OF SEVERAL ADITS AND SHAFTS. ONE ADIT AND AN OPEN CUT DEVELOPED ON CONTACTED SHEAR ZONES IN THE MARBLE CONTAIN QUARTZ, IRON OXIDES, AND SOME COPPER STAINING. THE SHEAR ZONES ARE THOUGHT TO BE CLEAVAGE OR SHEAR SURFACES PARALLEL TO AVIAL SURFACES DEVELOPED DURING AN EARLIER PERIOD OF FOLDING AND LATER REFOLDED. THE MARBLE IS SIMILAR TO THAT ON CHALK MOUNTAIN
