Comments on the workings information

  • THE MINE IS OPENED TO A DEPTH OF 960 FEET AND HAS MORE THAN 6,000 FEET OF DEVELOPMENT WORK. THE VEINS ARE AT OR NEAR THE CONTACT OF RHYOLITE AND INTRUDED DACITE AND ARE COMPOSED MOSTLY OF STAINED, OXIDIZED, ERUSHED MATERIAL. THE ORE HAS A HIGH PSILOMELANE CONTENT, AND THIS MANGANOUS ORE IS DURIFEROUS AND OCCURS ON THE HANGING WALL SIDE OF THE VEIN. THE VEINS ARE GENERALLY NARROW. GOLD AND SILVER OCCUR IN A 1:5 RATIO WITH AN INCREASE OF GOLD AT DEPTH.
