  • THE IRON-STAINED AREA IS IN AND ADJACENT TO A NNE FAULT WHICH APPEARS TO FORM THE EAST BOUNDARY OF FRED'S MT. THE ROCKS ARE LOCALLY SHEARED AND BRECCIATED. EXCEPT FOR IRON, NO METALLIC MINERALS WERE OBSERVED. THERE ARE NO HIGH CONCENTRATIONS OF LIMONITE AND NO SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF VEIN QUARTZ. NEARBY PROSPECTS (NBMG SAMPLE # 3411 & #3413) CONTAIN OXIDIZED COPPER MINERALS.
