  • SMALL AMOUNT OF ORE MAY HAVE BEEN MINED (GARSIDE) URANIUM MINERALS OCCUR AS SPECKS AND FINE DISSEMINATIONS IN CHARCOAL AND BENTONITIC ASH AT BASE OF HARTFORD HILL RHYOLITE. AREA OF MINERALIZATION IS ABOUT 700 FEET BY 300 FEET, IS UP TO 20 FEET THICK. MINERALIZED ZONE INCLUDES VOLCANIC ASH WITH CHARCOAL STRINGERS, AND CONTAINS GRANODIORITE BOULDERS UP TO 15 FEET IN DIAMETER.
