Comments on the geologic information

  • MAIN VEIN THICKENS UPWARD FROM 4 INCHES TO 48 INCHES, THEN SPLITS INTO SEVERAL VEINS SEPARATED BY BRECCIATED AND SLIGHTLY MINERALIZED ROCK FORMING A ZONE OF GOOD ORE UP TO 96 INCHES WIDE. THE OTHER VEIN STRIKES N70E AND DIPS 25S IS UP TO 48 INCHES WIDE CONTAINING NUMEROUS PODS AND STREAKS OF ORE. AN ORE SHOOT UP TO 48 INCHES WIDE AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE TWO VEINS RAKES 35S. STIBNITE IS BOTH CRYSTALLINE AND FINE-GRAINED AND OCCURS AS STREAKS AND PODS UP TO 24 BY 36 FEET IN SIZE. ALL STIBNITE IS PARTIALLY ALTERED. HANGING WALL IS ALTERED ALONG MAIN VEIN.

Deposit WORKINGS FOLLOW N 25E, 70 NW-DIPPING VEIN ALONG SHEAR ZONE IN SERICITIZED ARGILLITE, QUARTZITE WITH SOME LIMEY LENSES. ROCKS IN BOTH WALLS OF SHEAR ZONES ARE LACED WITH WHITE QUARTZ VEINLETS. ONLY TRACES OF FINE-GRAINED BLACK MINERAL AND SOME NEEDLE-LIKE BLACK MINERAL (BOTH PROBABLY STIBNITE) WERE SEEN IN QUARTZ ON DUMPS.; MODEL NAME COULD ALSO BE: SIMPLE SB.
Deposit SHALES AND QUARTZITE ALONG THRUST FAULT CONTACT, IRON-OXIDE ZONE LACED WITH QUARTZ VEINLETS. GEOCHEM SAMPLE, .05 PPM AU, 200 PPM AS, .085 PPM HG. WORKINGS AS OF 1963 CONSISTED OF 3 ADITS, AN INCLINED SHAFT AND DRIFTS, A RAISE AND 3 SHALLOW WINZES TOTALLING ABOUT 850 FT. OWNED IN 1957 BY J. W. HICKS. ; INFO.SRC : 3 FIELD OBSERV
