  • HISTORIC WORKINGS CONSIST OF 600 FT. DEEP SHOSHONE SHAFT AND 300 FT. DEEP POLARIS SHAFT WITH 9000 FT. OF WORKINGS. DEVELOPED AS AN OPEN PIT BY BOND GOLD.

  • ACQUIRED BY ST. JOE IN 1982 AND EXPLORATION DRILLING BEGAN IN SEPTEMBER 1983. BY 1985 A MINERAL INVENTORY HAD BEEN DEVELOPED, METALLURGICAL TESTING WAS COMPLETED, AND AN OPEN PIT MINE WAS DESIGNED. ST. JOE PLANNED (2/88) TO BEGIN CONSTRUCTION IN JUNE, 1988, WITH PRODUCTION TO BEGIN IN MAY, 1989. IN APRIL 1988, 8 DRILL RIGS WERE ACTIVE ON THE PROPERTY IN PRE-PRODUCTION. EXPLORATION IN THE VICINITY BASED ON THE MONTGOMERY-SHOSHONE MODEL LED TO THE DISCOVERY OF WHAT BECAME KNOWN AS THE BOND GOLD BULLFROG DEPOSIT (RECORD #RE00023). ; ECON.COM: OPEN PIT MINE DEVELOPED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE BOND GOLD BULLFROG MINE.

Deposit DURING UNDERGROUND MINING, MOST OF THE ORE PROBABLY CAME FROM ABOVE THE 300 FT LEVEL. THE BEST ORE FROM "GLORY HOLE" AREA, SOME OF WHICH REPORTED TO ASSAY $700/TON.
