Comments on the geologic information

  • TURQUOISE OCCURS AS SMALL NODULES AND PODS IN ARGILLIZED ROCKS ALONG FAULT ZONES MOST ROCKS EXPOSED IN CUT AND PITS WITHIN THE CLAIM GROUP ARE ARGILLCALLY ALTERRED, AND CONSIST OF RESISTANT CHERT BANDS ALTERNATING WITH BANDS OF WHITE CLAY AND BLEACHED SILICIFIED SHALE. THIS ALTERATION MAY BE DUE TO THE INTRUSION OF SMALL BODIES OF QUARTZ LATITE SIMILAR TO THE CROPPING OUT NORTH OF THE CLAIM AREA.
