  • THICK BEDS OF MASSIVE BARITE INTERBEDDED WITH CHERT AND LIMESTONE OF THE SLAVEN FORMATION OCCUR BETWEEN TWO THRUST FAULTS. THE DEPOSIT IS NEARLY AS THICK STRATIGRAPHICALLY AS IT IS LONG. THE STRIKE OF THE BEDS IS NORTHWEST AND THE DIP SOUTHWEST THE BARITE IS DISCORDANT TO BEDDING AT ITS EAST AND WEST BOUNDARIES. (KETNER K.B.)
