Deposit BRECCIATED WHITE QUARTZ VEIN CUTS SHALE AND LIMESTONE; VEIN STRIKES N50E, DIPS 60-70 NW; VEIN HAS QUARTZ RUBBLE AL-ONG ITS WALLS, CONTAIN INCLUSIONS OF WALL ROCK. WHERE EXPOSED -IN ROADCUT ABOVE LOWER ADIT, THE VEIN IS 2-3 FT WIDE. VEIN QUA-RTZ FROM THE LARGEST DUMP CONTAINS CLOTS OF TETRAHEDRITE, SPHA-LERITE, GALENA AND EUHEDRAL TO SUBHEDRAL PYRITE CUBES UP TO 0.-5 INCH ON A SIDE. THE GALENA AND SPHALERITE APPEAR TO HAVE FOR-MED AROUND THE MARGINS OF THE PYRITE.
Deposit NUMEROUS MINES AND PROSPECTS WERE LOCATED AND WORKED IN DISTRICT DURING THE PERIOD 1862-80. THE TALLULAH WAS ONE OF THE FIRST DEVELOPED AND EARLIEST WORKED SILVER MINES. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT; 3 FIELD OBSERV
