THE LEADVILLE MINING CO. WAS FORMED IN 1920 UNDER NEW OWNER A. A. COOD, WHO RAN THE MINE FROM 1920 TO 1925, WHEN THE MILL BURNED DOWN. LESSEES SHIPPED HIGH-GRADE ORE FROM 1926 TO 1928 WHEN A FIRE FORCED CLOSURE OF THE MINE. BURGESS RECOMMENDS FURTHER EXPLORATION FOR CONTINUATION OF THE VEIN WHICH WAS NEVER MINED OUT.
