| Deposit | JOHN HARMON ACQUIRED THE LEADVILLE MINE PRIOR TO 1909 AND FORMED THE TOHOQUA MINING CO., WHICH DEVELOPED AND OPERATED THE MINE FROM 1910 TO 1918, WITH ORE PROCESSED AT THE 60 TPD GRAVITY-CONCENTRATION MILL. THE LEADVILLE MINING CO. WAS FORMED IN 1920 UNDER NEW OWNER A. A. COOD, WHO RAN THE MINE FROM 1920 TO 1925, WHEN THE MILL BURNED DOWN. LESSEES SHIPPED HIGH-GRADE ORE FROM 1926 TO 1928 WHEN A FIRE FORCED CLOSURE OF THE MINE. BURGESS RECOMMENDS FURTHER EXPLORATION FOR CONTINUATION OF THE VEIN WHICH WAS NEVER MINED OUT. THE PROPERTY CONSISTS OF 5 PATENTED GENL CLAIMS DEVELOPED BY 10,700 FT OF DRIFTS, 1110 FT OF SHAFTS WITH NUMEROUS RAISES, ETC. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT |
