| Deposit | MOST OF THE PRODUCTION FROM THE DISTRICT HAS COME FROM THIS MINE. IT IS MARKEDLYDIFFERENT FROM OTHER DEPOSITS IN THE AREA IN THAT ADULARIA, RATHER THAN QUARTZ, IS THE DOMINANT VEIN-FILLING MATERIAL. LOW RELIEF & LACK OF OUTCROPS HINDERED DISCOVEREY OF THIS MINE UNTIL LATE IN THE HISTORY OF THE DISTRICT(1935).DEVELOPMENT CONSISTS OF SEVERAL TUNNELS, STOPES, CROSSCUTS. DISTRICT PRODUCTION WAS 279,441 TONS OG GOLD-SILVER ORE THRU 1963. ORIGINAL JUMBO CLAIMS WERE LOCATED IN FEB, 1935 BY CLYDE TAYLOR AND J.C. STAGG, BY PANNING OF THE GULCHES TO THE LODE. A SMALL MILL WAS FIRST SET UP 4 MILES FROM THE MILL IN A PRIL, 1935, AND A FEW YEARSLATER A 25 TPD MILL WAS SET UP 3 MILES FRO THE MINE. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT; 3 FIELD OBSERV |
