Deposit MAIN ADIT IS IN METASEDIMENTS NEAR CONTACT WITH GRANODIORITE. OTHER WORKINGS ABOVE THE ADIT HAVE BEEN BULLDOZED AWAY REVEALING MUCH OF THE CONTACT AND FORMING A 40 X 60 FT. PIT ON THE S. SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN. A SINGLE DRILL HOLE WAS EMPLACED IN THE PIT AND ANOTHER TO THE EAST AT THE SAME LEVEL. SAMPLE 2965 IS FROM THE DUMP NEAR THE MAIN ADIT AND FROM THE UPPER WORKINGS. THE MAIN DUMP IS COVERED WITH FRESH GRANODIORITE, THOUGHT TO BE TACTITE ALONG AND NEAR THE CONTACT OF QUARTZ MONZONITE AND LIMESTONE. SOME OF THE SCHEELITE FLUORESCES WITH A SLIGHT YELLOWISH TINGE, BUT MO CONTENT IS LOW. ORE GRADE RANGES FROM 0.3 TO 1.75 % WO3, AVG. 0.48 % WO3. THREE ORE ZONES ARE EXPOSED FROM CREST OF RANGE WESTWARD FOR ABOUT 800 FT. UPPER ZONE 2-10 FT. WIDE, 100. FT LONG, 3-5 FT. DEEP. MIDDLE ORE ZONE HAS 2 PARALLEL ORE BODIES, ONE 50 FT. LONG, 3-5 FT. DEEP. MIDDLE ORE ZONE HAS 2 PARALLEL ORE BODIES, ONE 50 FT. LONG, 13-20 FT. WIDE, THE OTHER 150 FT. LONG, 1.5-5 FT. WIDE. BOTH CUT OFF BY
Deposit NW FAULT. LOWER ORE ZONE EXPOSED IN ADIT PORTAL IS 100 FT. LONG, 2 FT. WIDE.
Deposit OWNED IN 1960'S BY J. NOVIACK AND J.F. BARNES. EXPLORATION PROGRAM CONSISTING OF TRENCHING AND DRIFTING ALONG THE CONTACT FAILED TO DISCOVER ANY LARGE OREBODIES. THE 9 UNPATENTED LOVE CLAIMS WERE LOCATED IN 1954 BY NOVIACK & BARNES. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT; 3 FIELD OBSERV
