Deposit Discovery Year: 1870'S
Deposit STONE WAS FIRST QUARRIED HERE IN THE EARLY 1870'S AND USED TO BUILD SOME OF THE EARLY HOMESTEADS IN NW NEVADA. A MR. TURNER HELD THE CLAIMS PRIOR TO 1952 WHEN THE WEGMAN BROTHERS BEGAN PRODUCTION. THEY INSTALLED A CABLE SAW, 3 MUD SAWS AND A BUILLOTINE CRUSHER AND WORKED THE THE CLAIMS FOR 15 YEARS. THE CLAIMS WERE RELOCATED IN 1970 BY MIKE LEE, AND ACQUIRED IN 1972 BY CONNORS, THE OWNER IN 1978. ; INFO.SRC : 2 UNPUB REPT
