| Deposit | GARNET-DIOPSIDE-WOLLASTONITE SKARN FORMED IN PREBLE LIMESTONE ON WESTERN SIDE OF NORTHERN LOBE OF OSGOOD GRANODIOR-ITE. LIMESTONE SECTION HERE IS ON W SIDE OF ANTICLINORIUM OF O-SGOOD MTS; SEDIMENTS DIP TO EAST WHILE CONTACT ZONE DIPS TO WE-ST. LARGE MASSES OF SILICATED ROCK OCCUR ALONG THE N-S STRIKIN-G CONTACT ZONE (EXPOSED ON WEST SIDE OF RANGE). IRREGULAR LENS-ES AND PODS OF GARNET TACTITE OCCUR WITHIN THE SILICATED ROCKS-. IN THE ALPINE PIT, TACTITE IS MAINLY COMPOSED OF EUHEDRAL MA-SSES OF DARK BROWN GARNET; SCHEELITE IS FINE-GRAINED AND VERY -SPARSE. |
