UNOXIDIZED LENSES OF MANGANIFEROUS CHERT IN WHICH THE MANGANESE OCCURS AS RHODONITE FORM REPLACEMENT DEPOSITS IN SHALE AND QUARTZITE. THE LARGEST LENSES ARE 50 TO 75 FT. IN DIAMETER AND 6 TO 10 FT. THICK
