Comments on the geologic information

  • SCHEELITE-BEARING LAYERS OF ACTIDOLITE-CALCITE OCCUR IN CONTACT-METAMORPHOSED MICA SCHIST NEAR A GRANODIORITE CONTACT. THREE MINERALIZED LAYERS, RANGING IN THICKNESS FROM A FEW INCHES TO 10 FEET, OCCUR IN A ZONE ABOUT 30 FEET WIDE AND 3000 FEET LONG THAT STRIKES EAST-WEST AND IS VERTICAL OR STEEPLY DIPPING. THE TUNGSTEN CONTENT OF THESE LAYERS RANGES FROM A TRACE TO SEVERAL PERCENT, BUT THE GRADE OF THE ORE MINED HAS APPARENTLY AVERAGED LESS THAN 0.5% WO3.
