Deposit THE WORKINGS FOLLOW A FAULT THAT TRENDS NE AND DIPS ABOUT 70 DEGREES SE. POCKETSOF RICH CINNABAR ORE HAVE BEEN ENCOUNTERED IN EXPLORING ALONG THIS FAULT, ABOVE THE MAIN DRIFT. CINNABAR OCCURS IN BEDDING PLANES ADJACENT TO THE FAULT AND, MORE IMPORTANTLY, IN HIGH-GRADE CRYSTALLINE PODS ALONG THE FAULT. ABOUT 250 FT TO THE EAST, A SMALL ADIT AND STOPE EXPLORE QUARTERNARY GRAVELS CONTAINING SMALL CINNABAR NUGGETS CONCENTRATED ON CHERT BEDROCK.
