  • LINCOLN (1923) REPORTS TEN CARS OF BORAX WERE SHIPPED FROM THE NORTHERN END OF DIXIE MARSH, BY R. NIESCHWANDER, PROBABLY IN THE EARLY 1870'S. EARLY SALT PRODUCTION SHIPPED TO SILVER MINES. THREE HOLES WERE DRILLED BY RAILROAD VALLEY CO. IN 1912 IN A SEARCH FOR POTASH.
