Deposit NOGAL VEIN, NORTHERN VEIN, STRIKES N 60E, DIPS 70SE, RANGES FROM 4 INCHES TO 2 FEET THICK AND HAS A THIN PARTING ON THE HANGING-WALL SIDE BUT IS FROZEN TO THE FOOTWALL. THE ORE IN THIS VEIN IS LARGELY IRON- AND COPPER-STAINED QUARTZ CONTAINING CERUSSITE, GALENA, AND TETRAHEDRITE. THE NOGAL VEIN IS IN GRANITIC ROCK. THE RED VEIN, ONE-FOURTH MILE SOUTH OF THE NOGAL VEIN, IS AN IRREGULAR REPLACEMENT IN CRYSTALLINE LIMESTONE. THE LENSES OF ORE OCCUR IN A FRACTURE ZONE AND STRIKES N40W, DIPS 50SW. ORE IS IRON-STAINED QUARTZ CARRYING $10 TO $40/TON IN AG AND AU.
