Comments on the geologic information

  • THE ORE LODE IS A VEIN ALONG THE FAULT CONTACT BETW/ RHYOLITE AND OVERLYING ANDESITE. THE VEIN IS A ZONE OF CRUSHED SILICIFIED FE-STAINED RHYOLITE FROM 5 TO 15 FT. WIDE. THE FOOTWALL IS THE FAULT SLICKENSLIDE. A CROSS VEIN IN THE RHYOLITE HAS BEEN DEVELOPED FOR A SHORT DISTANCE. MOST OF THE ORE IS OXIDIZED, BUT SULPHIDES (GOLD ASSOC. W/PYRITE) ARE PRESENT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE MINE.
