THE MINE WAS FIRST WORKED IN THE EARLY 1870'S BUT WAS REOPENED IN 1946 AND FOR A THREE YEAR PERIOD PRODUCED 2,000 TONS OF ORE AVERAGING 40 OZ/TON AG, AND 0.07 OZ/TON AV. A 10-STAMP AMALGAMATING & CONCENTRATING MILL WAS BUILT NEAR THE PORTAL OF THE TUNNEL TO TREAT THE ORE. 62-FT SHAFT & TUNNEL IN 1930'S; 80-FT ADIT, TOO.
