  • Intrusive Veins, Granodiorite Contact, Faults

Comments on the geologic information

  • N-S TRENDING ALASKITE PORPHYRY DIKES ALSO CUT THE PROPERTY. THE TWO OR MORE E-W TRENDING VEINS ARE MORE OR LESS ASSOCIATED WITH PORPHYRY DIKES OR OTHER INTRUSIONS, NEAR WHICH THERE IS A REPORTED IMPROVEMENT IN QUALITY AND QUANITY OF THE ORE. MINERALIZATION SEEMS TO BE BY REPLACEMENT IN A FAULT BRECCIA. THE PRINCIPAL VEIN IS 3 FEET WIDE AND CONTAINS CHIEFLY CERUSITE ORE, WHICH CARRIES UP TO 92 OZ/TON AG. AU OCCURS IN THE BINOXIDE ORE OF THE SMALLER VEIN AND AVERAGES BUT $4 TO THE TON (SCHRADER, 1912, P 134).
