Deposit NO PRODUCTION SINCE 1927 (SCHRADER, 1935, P 37.) DEPOSIT LOCATED IN 1876 BY AN OFFICIAL OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC CO. THIS MINE IS LOCATED ON THE SKYLARK CLAIM NO. 1, ONE OF A GROUP OF SIX (CHINAMAN) CLAIMS. CLAIMS WERE LOCATED IN 1895 BY W.T. MCARDLE. (THE COPPER MT. CLAIM NO. 1 AT THE LOWER (ELEVATION) END OF THE GROUP HAS A 50 FT. TUNNEL.) THE CHINAMAN MINE IS LOCATED ON THE LIMESTONE SIDE OF THE CONTACT. THE ORE IS CONTAINED IN A LODE OR MINERALIZED BAND ABOUT 22 FT. IN WIDTH. ABOUT 80 TONS OF 14% ORE REMAINING FROM A HEAP OF WHICH A TEST WAS MADE AT THE CONTACT SMELTER, LIES ON THE DUMP (SCHRADER, 1912, P 102 + 136). ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
