General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit STOCKWORKS, QUARTZ VEINS OCCUR ALONG SHEAR ZONES IN PROPYLITIZED, ARGILLIZED ANDESITE. MINING APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN CONCENTRATED AT POINTS WHERE THE MAIN SHEAR ZONE WAS INTERSECTED BY A N10W, VERTICAL SHEAR. ROCK AT INTERSECTION AND ALONG BOTH STRUCTURES IS LACED WITH NARROW QUARTZ VEINLETS. VEINLETS HAVE A N20E TREND, BUT DIP 10-15 SE. MAIN MINED ZONE CONTAINED 3-4 FT WIDE BRECCIATED QUARTZ VEIN WITH FE OXIDES AND MND SPOTS ALONG IT. VEIN HAS DRUSY QUARTZ CRYSTALS FILLING VUGS, SOME JAROOSITE ON FRACTURE SURFACES. THE ROCK ON THE POINT SURROUNDING THE OLD WORKINGS IS BLEACHED AND SILICIFIED NEAR THE SHEAR ZONE; BLEACHING DECREASES AWAY FROM THE MAIN STRUCTURE.
