  • ADITS SHOWN ON TOPO MAP ARE ALL DRIVEN PERPENDICULAR TO THE VEIN, AND ALL CROSS-CUT THE STRUCTURE SHAFT WAS SUNK DOWN-DIP. WATER LEVEL IS JUST A FEW FT BELOW ADIT LEVEL. STREAM FLOWS ALONG N SIDE OF THE VEIN, AND THE SLOPING VEIN SURFACE FORMS A STEEP S WALL OF THE CANYON HERE.

Deposit FOOTWALL OF THE FAULT ZONE IS EXPOSED FOR A VERTICAL HEIGHT OF 300 FT OR MORE, COVERED WITH HARD QUARTZ WHERE SILICIFICATION HAS OCCURRED ALONG THE FAULT. ; INFO.SRC : 3 FIELD OBSERV
Deposit BRECCIATED, RECEMENTED VEIN QUARTZ ALONG FAULT ZONE CUTTING SILICIFIED RHYOLITE(?) WALLROCK IS LACED WITH BANDED CHALCEDONIC QUARTZ; ROCK IN WALLS OF STRUCTURE IS GREEN FROM PROPYLITIC ALTERATION BRECCIA FRAGMENT IN VEIN ARE SILICIFIED, IN MATRIX OF CHALCEDONIC QUARTZ; OPEN SPACES COATED WITH ACICULAR QUARTZ CRYSTALS. SOME LAMELLAR QUARTZ AFTER CALCITE PRESENT; SOME QUARTZ MAY HAVE REPLACED ORIGINAL ADULARIA CRYSTALS(?) TRACES OF FE OXIDES AND MN STAIN. ZONE IS EXPOSED FOR ABOUT 1000 FT ALONG STRIKE; SILICIFIED BRECCIA ZONE IS UP TO 10-15 FT THICK. AN FE-OXIDE STAINED ZONE IN THE IMMEDIATE FOOTWALL OF THE STRUCTURE HAS BEEN STOPED IN ONE AREA. RICHEST ORE WAS FOUND FARTHEST EAST.
