  • MOST OF THE DEVELOPMENT WORK WAS DONE BY MCELROY OVER SEVERAL YEARS AND A SMALL TONNAGE OF GOLD ORE WAS MILLED IN A 2-STAMP MILL. IN 1938, THE CLAIMS WERE TAKEN OVER BY C.E. WOOD AND J.C. HORTON. IN 1939 THEY INSTALLED A 40-TON BALL MILL WITH LEACHING TANKS, JUST BELOW THE UPPER TUNNEL LEVEL AT 8300 FT.

IRON OXIDE STAINING, 2-3 INCH BAND OF MNO WITH WHITE CALCITE ON WEST WALL, SILICIFIED LENS OF WALLROCK IN CENTER. ROCK IS FLOODED WITH SILICA, JAROSITE, FINE-GRAINED PYRITE, LAMELLAR QUARTZ-AFTER-CALCITE
