    Width 76.2M

Controls for ore emplacement

  • Gouge Seam-N13e 36-43e

Comments on the geologic information

  • THE QUARTZ MONZONITE-COUNTRY ROCK CONTACT IS NOT OFFSET BY THE FOOTWALL AND BRECCIA ZONE OF THE SURFACE BODY, WHICH INDICATES THE ORE WAS VERY EASILY BRECCIATED WITH LITTLE RELATIVE MOVEMENT. THE SURFACE BODY APPEARS TO CURVE GENTLY DOWNWARD TOWARD THE CONSPICUOUS GOUGE SEAM OR FAULT, BUT NOT HAVE ACTUALLY REACHED THE FAULT. NATIVE AU WAS ASSOCIATED WITH LIMONITE AND SMALL STREAKS OF SPECULAR HEMATITE, AND WAS GENERALLY WITHIN FRAGMENTED COUNTRY ROCK WITH POROUS SUGARY QUARTZ. THE ORE MINED HERE IS DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHER ORE AT SEARCHLIGHT, BUT RESEMBLES ORE FOUND IN THE ELDORADO DIST.
