| Deposit | ON THE IRON FISSURE. ORE IS SOFT IRON-STAINED LEAD CARBONATE WITH LOWER-GRADE ORE CONTAINING MUCH UNREPLACED LIMESTONE. A CONSIDERABLE QUANTITY OF HIGH GRADE SORTED ORE ON DUMP CONSISTED OF HARD MASSIVE CERUSSITE. IN THIS ORE, ROUNDED RESIDUAL KERNELS OF GALENA ARE SURROUNDED BY LAYERS OF ANGLESITE AND CERUSSITE. A MINOR AMOUNT OF COPPER CARBONATE IS PRESENT IN SOME ORE, AND THIN FILMS OF SILCIA HAVE BEEN DEPOSITED IN OPENINGS ANG CREVICES OF THE ORE. ORE WAS IN HANGING AND FOOT WALLS OF THE FISSURE. |
