| Deposit | LENSES OF GARNET TACTITE ALONG LIMESTONE LENSES, NOT ON DEFINITE IGNEOUS CONTACTS. ONE AREA OF STOCKWORKS WITH SMALL PEBBLE DIKE WAS SAMPLED. THIS OUTCROP WAS FE-OXIDE-STAINED, LACED WITH QUARTZ VEINLETS, BLACK-APPEARING SILICA VEINING, AND MATRIX FOR PEBBLE DIKE. ROCK CONTAINS POINTS OF YELLOW AND BROWN FE OXIDE, ALSO SPECKS OF A BLACK METALLIC MINERAL. NEAR THE MAIN ROAD, A MAJOR FAULT ZONE SEPARATES SHALEY ROCKS TO THE WEST FROM TACTITES, LIME STONES, ETC. TO EAST. THIS COULD BE A MAJOR THRUST FAULT. IN THIS SAME AREA, IN AN OUTCROP OF LIMESTONE, A NARROW (20CM) LENS OF SILICEOUS GOSSAN OUTCROP HAS A STRIKE LENGTH OF ABOUT 2M, SHOWING GOOD BOXWORK STRUCTURE (SPHALERITE?). |
