Deposit OLD WORKINGS FOLLOW SHEAR ZONE CUTTING PAPER SHALE AND HORNFELS. FE OXIDE STAINING ALONG BEDDING, BUT ROCK IS NOT HIGHLY ALTERED. 1.5-2 FT THICK CRUSHED ZONE WITH 3-6 INCH VUGGY RUSTY-APPEARING QUARTZ ALONG THE EAST WALL. VUGS IN VEIN QUARTZ CONTAIN CLEAR QUARTZ CRYSTALS, SOME PYRITE, CHALCOPYRITE, GREEN CU OXIDE MINERALS PRESENT. 2 OTHER PARALLEL SHEAR ZONES ARE TO THE EAST OF THE SAMPLE SITE. THE EASTERN MOST ZONE SEEMS TO BE ALONG A N 25 E DIORITE DIKE WHOSE CONTACT ZONE IS SILICIFIED. DIKE AND ADJACENT WALL ROCKS ARE KAOLINIZED; DIKE HAS MNO AND FEOX POINTS.
