Deposit WHITE QUARTZ VEIN ALONG SHEAR ZONE CONTAINS RED HEMATITE STAINING ON FRACTURES, PARK RED HEMATITE BANDING ON BOTH WALLS, HAS 0.5-1FT FAULT GOUGE ON WALLS. VEIN IS BRECCIATED AND CEMENTED WITH FE OXIDE SILICA. VEIN PINCHES AND SWELLS ALONG STRIKE AND DIP. THE UPPER (SOUTH) WORKINGS EXPOSE A DIORITE (TO EAST) CONTACT ZONE WITH VEIN QUARTZ ALONG THE CONTACT. VEIN-DIKE CONTACT HERE STRIKES N 40-45 E. DIKE IS A FINE-GRAINED GRANODIORITE COMPOSED OF BIOTITE (MODERATELY CHLORITIZED), QUARTZ, FELDSPAR, SOME FE OXIDE POINTS (AFTER PYRITE). INTRUSIVE BODY EXTENDS TO THE EAST AND IS CUT BY A QUARTZ-CALCITE VEIN IN WORKINGS THERE. THE VEIN IS HEMATITE-STAINED, CRUSHED QUARTZ VEIN WITH DOG-TOOTH SPAR ON WALLS; N 30 E STRIKE, 70 NE DIP TO VEIN.
