Comments on the workings information

  • LARGE REWORKING AREA ON SOUTH SIDE OF GULLEY CONSISTS OF AN OPEN CUT ABOUT 20 FT LONG TRENDING N 10 E AT THE END OF WHICH ARE 2 ADITS SIDE BY SIDE. THE ADIT TO THE SOUTH IS VERY SHORT (ABOUT 20 FT). ADIT TO NORTH IS 50+ FT LONG? WITH A VERTICAL STOPE AT ITS MOUTH MAYBE 30-40 FT DEEP. 2-4 DOZER CUTS ON SLOPE AROUND THESE WORKINGS. LONGER ADIT TRENDS ABOUT N 40 E BUT HAS A BEND TO NW ABOUT 30 FT IN (ON OTHER SIDE OF VERTICAL STOPE). ANOTHER ADIT BELOW THIS ONE, AT BOTTOM OF GULLEY TRENDS S 70 E, PROBABLY JOINS WITH VERTICAL STOPE FROM ABOVE ADIT. WHITE FE-STAINED QUARTZ WITH GALENA ON DUMP. ABOUT 30+ FT VERTICAL DIFFERENCE IN THE TWO WORKINGS.

General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit MASSIVE BLOB OF MILKY WHITE IRON-STAINED QUARTZ IN A PHYLLITE. SIMILAR TO PROSPECT ON EAST SIDE OF RANGE EXCEPT THAT QUARTZ IS IN METASEDIMENTS INSTEAD OF META-INTRUSIVE (DIKE-SILL). SAME PHYLLITE HERE AS ON EAST SIDE OF RANGE. PHYLLITE STRIKES N 30 E, DIP 35 NW. BEDS VERY CONTORTED AND DIP-STRIKE ARE VARIABLE. LIKEWISE, QUARTZ "VEIN" IS HIGHLY CONTORTED. MINOR GALENA SEEN IN QUARTZ ON DUMP. SECOND READING-N 45 E, 34 NW. NO INTRUSIVE IN IMMEDIATE AREA OF WORKINGS, HOWEVER, RIDGE TO NW OF WORKINGS APPEARS TO BE INTRUSIVE ROCK.
